IDTTYS was developed by Martin Manka due to his isolation and lack of communication while being treated for Leukemia. He felt that staying connected with the rest of the world created a more positive environment for him and helped to avoid loneliness. Martin knew he was not the only one experiencing these difficulties and wanted to make a change in the world of cancer. Isolation and the feeling of uncertainty about the future creates stress, which degrades quality of life. IDTTYS was created to be there when the need is the greatest… When patients are feeling alone. IDTTYS is here to provide a link between cancer patients and survivors, their families and their friends. The donation of these laptops enables them to communicate with others for support, helps them understand cancer and its treatment and makes living and coping with the disease a little easier.

One of the most commonly asked questions in psychological surveys is “What is your biggest fear?” and the most common answer is “Dying alone”. This is something that cancer patients must deal with on a daily basis. Their fear is not only justified, it’s their constant reality. This is why IDTTYS has started its “Laptop Fund”. We are striving to connect cancer patients with each other and survivors world-wide—in this modern age of social networking and world wide connectivity, no one should have to be alone. We believe that helping each cancer patient get online will help them overcome this fear and help to bring some joy into their lives.

  • Our Mission

    line
Cancer is, in many ways, a private battle and everyone fighting it needs a private place to be weak while keeping a strong face for their families. While friends and family can be supportive, they cannot truly know everything that goes through a patient’s mind at different points in their treatment. I’M DYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING was founded to enable cancer patients, survivors, their friends and families to understand cancer and its treatment, living and coping with the disease and dealing with the different aspects of how cancer impacts patients and supporters. Our goal is to provide an easy and cost-free means of access to relevant information, both web-based and printed.
